Gillespie's has been helping small /medium sized businesses in Edinburgh with Accountancy and taxation affairs since 1988. The business was conceived by George McKenzie and traded as GTM Accountancy at offices at Melville Street and Rothesay Place in Edinburgh's West End.

We changed our name to The Gillespie Accountancy and opened-up shop/offices at four different locations in Edinburgh to bring ourselves closer to the local small businesses and to open our doors to the man in the street. This new approach consolidated our position as an established Accountancy firm in Edinburgh, helping all sizes of businesses with the same level of tolerance and professionalism. This modern accountancy attitude has seen our client base increase from 360 in 1998 to over 2500.

So what our current aims and objectives?........Same as Always

The message is that we try not to be seen as the normal stereotype firm of Accountants. We don't have a ticking clock by which we charge our fees, we still have an open door commitment, we still have a dedicated team per office to deal with the same clients every year in order that mutual knowledge and awareness is harnessed to rapport.

We are still approachable, and we still honour the fee levels indicated and agreed at the outset irrespective of any extra expense time incurred by us to do that work.
